Adapted into a Best Picture-winning film, Cavalcade presents the lives of an upper-middle-class British family, the Marryots, as they experience a turbulent and moving quarter century.

Cavalcade was Coward's most ambitious stage project, set during the Boer War and including major historical events of the period, from the Relief of Mafeking and the death of Queen Victoria, to the sinking of the RMS Titanic and World War I. 

History

Cavalcade premiered in the West End at the Theatre Royal on 13 October 1931. It was a smashing success, running for 405 performances.
